Beginner Handgun for New Shooters

If you’re like millions of Americans, you’ve either recently purchased your first gun, or you’re seriously thinking about it. Whether you have decided that you’d like to go to a range to try out a few different types of firearms to see what works best for you, or if you just want to properly develop your skills, you will find that proper training is the key to success, and instruction from an NRA Certified Instructor will be a great foundation of firearms training.

NRA New Shooter Gun Safety class covers most varieties of firearms: rifles and pistols. The class also covers the basics of firearm actions, terminology, parts, and ammunition, firearm safety, and needed accessories. You will learn what to expect, and what is needed for your first firearm purchase, and your first trip to the range. You will also learn how to move forward with different programs in your firearm training.
This will be a classroom session in the morning and live-fire training in the afternoon.

Arkansas Standard and Enhanced Concealed Carry Classes

This class is for those who wish to apply for an Arkansas Concealed Carry license. It is also for those who will constitutional carry and want to learn more about being a responsible concealed carry gun owner.

In this class, you will learn Arkansas law regarding the use of a handgun, prohibited places, situational awareness scenarios to avoid victimization, fundamentals, handgun safety, and more. You will be given everything you need to apply for an Arkansas Concealed Carry license, should you choose to, including the application, fingerprints, and training certification at the end of class.
You will also learn how to move forward with different programs in your firearm training.
This will be a classroom session in the morning and live-fire training in the afternoon.

Intuitive Defensive Shooting

The Intuitive Defense Shooting Program is an Intuitive shooting program designed to help the student be more Efficient with a defensive firearm in the context of a Dynamic Critical Incident. The Intuitive Defense Shooting Course is not designed to make you the best shooter you can be on the range, rather its goal is to help you quickly develop fundamental skills that you can apply in a worst-case scenario defensive shooting situation.

IDS is based on years of constantly evolving information about how the body works and what really happens during Dynamic Critical Incidents and has been heavily influenced by the diverse group of instructors that are certified to teach it and the thousands of students who have been through courses all around the world. The program features a variety of specialty drills and training methods that the student will be able to utilize in their own practice after the course in order to continue to develop their abilities.

Intuitive Defensive Carbine

The IDC Program applies the principals of the Intuitive Defense Shooting Program to the world of semi-automatic rifles. Stressing efficiency, working with what the body does naturally, and training in context, Intuitive Defense Carbine is a progressive and dynamic course. Students will engage in a variety of shooting drills and maneuvers designed to make their shooting (sighted and unsighted) more intuitive. In addition to the fundamentals of close-quarters defensive rifling, students will be guided through handling techniques and understanding how a variety of factors affect their balance between speed and precision with a carbine. Improvised shooting positions for heightened precision capabilities (smaller targets & ranges out to 150 yards) will also be covered.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting

Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.

NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting

Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting.

Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.

The Refuse To Be A Victim® program is not a firearms or self-defense class. It is a seminar that will help you improve your personal safety strategies and will provide you with valuable information that you can apply in every area of your life. 

Fundamentals of Home Defense Handgun

This Course will provide the student with an understanding of true armed home defense training with a defensive firearm, base level defensive shooting skills, and a training methodology for continuing to develop those skills.
